You will notice that many of my pictures are portraits. That is because my favorite work is portraits in oil. The first two portraits I did were well received and that success has motivated me to learn more.

Since moving to Arizona, I have learned so much about the art market and about art that sells. While I have given a lot of attention to this aspect of a career in art my efforts have coincided with the hard economic times affecting us all. Artists, directors of art galleries and museums, and many others have been very generous with their time and knowledge. Persistence is their theme and now it is mine.
